Founded in 2001, CoolIT Systems is a liquid cooling technology company that designs, engineers and manufacturers AI and high-performance compute (HPC) cooling systems for Hyperscaler and other large compute cluster operators.

2001

CoolIT Systems is founded. Our initial products are liquid cooling systems for gaming PCs.

2009

CoolIT is awarded a patent for our SplifFlow™ coldplate design - reflecting continuing innovation. First coldplates designed for NVIDIA and ATI (now AMD) graphics cards are shipped.

2012

CoolIT shifts its focus to data centers. Introduces direct liquid-cooled (DLC) servers and first rack-based coolant distribution units (CDUs).

2013

CoolIT develops first coldplate optimized for Intel Xeon data center processors. Our direct liquid cooling (DLC) technology cools the UNVL Cherry Creek supercomputer.

2015

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) project begins with CoolIT, developing new data center cooling products.

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) offers Apollo 2000 high-density, rack-scale HPC servers with an integrated CoolIT DLC option.

2017

Dell EMC (now Dell Technologies) begins selling PowerEdge servers with factory-installed DLC from CoolIT. CoolIT is used in HPC clusters exceeding 30,000 nodes.

2022

CoolIT liquid cooling technology enables Frontier, the world’s first exascale system and 100% fanless direct liquid-cooled design.
